Week 1 of the High School Football Season
Week 1 of the PIAA High School football season got underway on Friday night across the region.
The Centre County Red Zone kept you up-to-date with all of the action, with reporters at each of the Centre County games. Jeff Byers and Mark Snyder kept listeners informed as the action was happening.

State College defeated Williamsport, 49-20; Bald Eagle Area handled Bishop Guilfoyle, 17-7; Central blanked Bellefonte, 49-0; Penns Valley beat Bellwood-Antis, 33-12; Philipsburg-Osceola upended Huntingdon, 35-7; Clearfield narrowly escaped Tyrone, 29-21; Mifflin County shellacked Central Mountain, 41-6; Hollidaysburg edged Altoona, 21-13; North Star defeated Moshannon Valley, 28-13; and Mount Union defeated Tussey Mountain, 35-6.
